Who is eligible for the scholarship?
Stable Roots provides riding scholarships for youth in both foster and kinship placements ages 8–18 seeking confidence, healing, and connection through equine experiences.
How do I apply for the scholarship?
Youth may be submitted by families, caregivers, caseworkers, CASA volunteers, or agencies through our Apply page. Our team reviews each submission and follows up as opportunities become available.
What is the application deadline?
Stable Roots accepts interest submissions on a rolling basis. Scholarship availability depends on funding, partner barn openings, and program capacity.
Are there any fees associated with the program?
There are no fees to apply. If selected, Stable Roots covers the cost of approved scholarship lessons directly with our partner barns.
How can I support the foundation?
You can support Stable Roots through donations, sponsorships, volunteering, or becoming a partner barn. Every contribution helps provide riding scholarships and healing equine experiences for foster youth.
Do youth need prior horse experience?
No. Stable Roots welcomes beginners and works with trusted partner barns to create safe, supportive first-time experiences.
Are donations tax deductible?
Not at this time. Stable Roots Foundation is currently pending federal tax-exempt approval.
